A fully man made island, Bluewaters Island Dubai was launched in 2013 and completed in 2018. It is home to the iconic Ain Dubai, the largest Ferris Wheel in the world, as well as a beautiful waterfront promenade.
Bluewaters Island was fully opened to the public in 2018 and handovers for residential units began in March 2017. It consists of ten mid-rise residential buildings, each rising to 15 floors above the ground. The ground floor of each of these buildings has retail stores and F&B outlets.
Bluewaters Island is directly off the coast from Jumeirah Beach Residence.
The easiest way to reach Bluewaters is by car or taxi. There is no metro or tram station on the island itself, but you can take the metro to the Jebel Ali metro station and get on the RTA bus F57 to go to Bluewaters. You can also take a ferry or a watertaxi from behind Marina Mall to Bluewaters. Or you can walk across to Bluewaters on the 265 m pedestrian bridge from JBR. If you're traveling by your own personal car, the area has plenty of underground and street level parking you can use. You can then redeem your Bluewaters Island parking fee by spending AED 100 at any of the retail outlets or restaurants here.

The residential part of Bluewaters is known as Bluewaters Residences. Apartments within the 10 buildings that make up the residences are both prized for their views - sea, garden, the boulevard or Ain Dubai - and for their stellar amenities.
Build on chic modern lines, in soothing neutral colors, the homes here are all about understated luxury. Think an abundance of wood and chrome, with floor to ceiling windows, all beautifully finished. What’s more, each building offers residents the best shared facilities like a state of the art swimming pool, Jacuzzi and more.
The residences include studio to 4-bedroom apartments, penthouses and townhouses. Both furnished and unfurnished options are available.
This neighbourhood offers a range of amenities, integrated communities, and fun activities. Besides Ain Dubai, major attractions in the area include:
• The Beach Club
• Ferry dock
• Retail centre
• Bluewaters Island restaurants: There are dozens of standalone restaurants overlooking the promenade and the waterfront, including Alici, The London Project, Puerto 99 and more.
